As of late I've been crushing on the lives of those who book international flights like others buy subway passes. They don't vacation in the traditional 9-5 sense of having 2 weeks off yearly. No they T R A V E L.
Ever wonder who's really turning up on a Tuesday? It's T H E M. Well them and the folks on laptops at Starbucks during the work week. But most are entrepreneurs who on a whim might end up on a beach in Brazil or in a hookah lounge in Dubai A N Y D A Y of the week. Spoiler Alert: They're not millionaires.
Until I hack my next flight abroad I'll have to calm down and travel inbound.
Most folks are really tourist in their own city. Like a tourist they only stick to the main attractions. But I prefer to travel inbound.
I avoid what's on the beaten path until I have what I call my 'out-of-city' body experience. This affords me all the rush of exploration without all the jetlag.
Recently I was on my way to a cafe to unwind for the evening but decided to follow bread crumbs to another venue.
I was rewarded with the cutest little courtyard and got to sip Chardonnay in absolute peace. Charmed, I felt like I was somewhere in Europe. Score!
