Athen B Gallery invited the general public to their first Open Studios. Who knew this edgy gallery also housed the working space of 9-10 local artists? Sorell Raino-Tsui, the gallery owner/director, gifted us with an amazing guided tour of the artwork. It’s truly one of the hidden jewels in our city.
The event was well attended and in the hour or so we were there I saw quite a few gallerists, art writers, and artists. It was great chatting with Conrad owner of Aggregate Space Gallery, art writer Sara of The East Bay Express, and seeing local artist David Polka (who just had a solo show at Betti Ono).
I had such a fun time looking at the art and talking to folks that I didn’t take any pictures of the studio space. One more great reason to attend the next one!
