Hi, I'm Amira. Clients hire me to move commas.
My mission is to help artists increase their sales and visibility while having fun.
If you don't get this 'art business thing' I can show you.
I began my art consulting career in Washington, DC (2012) as an art dealer selling art to my professional friends, curating artists talks, visiting artist studios, and organizing monthly art gallery and museum tours for an intimate group of Smithsonian executives and art directors. I also received training from the Corcoran Gallery of Art where I was a certified docent for two years.
I relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area, California (2014) and expanded Mir Art Consulting to include executing marketing strategies for commercial art galleries. My first client was Thelma Harris Art Gallery where I curated art events, introduced private collectors to art exhibitions, and represented the gallery to corporate clients.
I'm most passionate about launching marketing campaigns, leading Art Ignite workshops for organizations, and representing artists to brands.
Constantly evolving as a social entrepreneur, I'm the Creator and Host of The AKR Life Podcast which airs monthly to a global audience.
My clients have had the opportunity to collaborate with nationally recognized brands on creative initiatives- West Elm, Athleta, Urban Remedy, Bouquet Market and Creative Mornings.
I'm a proud Bison and alumnus of Howard University where I received my B.A. in History and Community Development. I also received additional training in gallery management from June Steingart Gallery.
When I'm not running my fast paced business, I enjoy listening to Latin jazz with a glass of rose, eating farm to table meals, going out dancing, vacationing in Miami, and scouting for art.
